Aircraft Diamond DA42MPP in Hangar
Experiences with Lidar canopy penetration in dense tropical forests:
AAS together with Dr. Martin Isenburg (rapidlasso GmbH) have shown that it is possible to penetrate the dense 45 meter canopy of tropical rainforests with a RIEGL LMS Q680i full waveform laser scanner operating 1200 meters above the ground at 80 kHz and get sufficiently many ground returns to construct a plausible DTM with a resolution of 2 meters.
